Course objectives

The course is designed to recall fundamental knowledge and to impart the understanding and skills needed to enable participants to progress to operational (on-the-job) AIS training.

The objective of the course is to cover the organisation of the aeronautical information services and is divided into 2 phases.

Phase 1 provides for a common knowledge of Air Traffic Services. This phase is a necessary prerequisite for the phase 2.

Phase 2 provides better understanding and also the opportunity to practice skills needed within the functions and tasks carried out by the NOTAM Office (NOF), Publications and Charts (PUB) and the ATS Reporting Office (ARO).

7 weeks

Prerequisites

The course is designed for participants with the intermediate or upper intermediate level of English language knowledge (minimum requirement).
