A Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of Air Navigation Services between the Ministry of Defence and Transport was signed
The Minister of Defence Martin Stropnický and the Minister of Transport Dan Ťok signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of Air Navigation Services. The MoC was signed by the ministers at the NATO Days & Czech Air Force Days at Leoš Janáček Ostrava Airport.
"Our aim is to extend the cooperation of the two ministries in the field of aviation, especially in the training of military air traffic controllers, technical support or the use of calibration flights to ensure proper functionality of airport navigation systems for take-off and landing,” said Dan Ťok.
According to the memorandum a feasibility study will determine whether a new Military Air Traffic Control Center (MATCC) will be established at the Integrated Air Traffic Control Center (IATCC) in Jeneč.
"Cooperation between the Czech Air Force and ANS CR will enable sharing capabilities and exchange of information that will ensure better provision of air traffic services in the Czech Republic," added Minister of Defense Martin Stropnický.
