Course design
|
- The course aims to provide future ATC On-the-Job training Instructors with the skills necessary to help student controllers and trainees progress towards a successful conclusion of their operational training.
- The course uses various methods such as role plays, videos, document study and discussions.
- On-the-job training techniques are practiced on the simulator, coupled with extensive feedback given by course participants and course instructors.

Course objectives
|
Course participants shall:
- understand and explain the structure, content and assessment process of the OJTI Training Programme
- comprehend the impact of regulation on the training of air traffic controllers
- describe the human factors issues concerning Teaching and Learning, Teams, Communication and Stress impacting on the training
- apply the appropriate OJT techniques during briefing, demonstration, talk through, monitoring and debriefing using the theory learned
- understand the purpose of assessment in training and explain how training reports should be written
